One of the most important archaeological site of the Etruscans, Gonfienti, near Florence, is now covered, sealed, neglected, because it has been more convenient to build over an useless shunting centre, Italians call it Interporto, with monster-buildings. They have received a lot of money for it; nothing has been given to the ancient town, to continue the excavations and to make the site visitable.
Interporto has sealed the archaeological site, but it has been an illegal action.
